I don’t want to scare you, but… the world is a giant melting pot of chemicals that will react with your records slowly over time and change the very molecular fabric of the vinyl record! A few tips include: Keep your records stacked vertically (never lay them flat). Store at room temperature or below. Keep exposure to light at a minimum. Pack them in high-density polyethylene sleeves. Use storage boxes made of acid- and lignin-free paper stock or cardboard. Don’t pack them too tightly, give them room to breathe. (Disclaimer: these are suggestions only, Dolphin Storage and any associated parties are not responsible for any damage caused to vinyl collections). Self-storage units servicing Mandurah and Pinjarra.
